This year (2013), for the second time, members of 1971 4th platoon joined with Bravo Company for our reunion. The reunion included a visit from Bobby Briscoe, author of "The Jungle Warrior" who spoke to us about VA benefits and autographed his book. We took a trip to Fort Sam Houston where we watched Combat Medic training, toured the Army Medical Museum, and had lunch in the 21st Century "Mess Hall". Colonel Eric Sones, son of our former battalion commander (1971), Vernon Sones, spoke at our banquet on Saturday night. We were entertained by a Mariachi Band while we ate and were reminded of our brothers no longer with us during the memorial service reading of the names. Tony and Maria were wonderful host and hostess, giving us a taste of Texas!
